Companion Animal Law

Description
Have you ever wondered how laws protect animals living around us? Dogs, cats, chickens, and horses aren't just pets. They are family. They are community members. The rules and laws that affect them can mean the difference between a safe, happy life and one marked by danger and neglect. For example, some cities have banned declawing cats to prevent this painful procedure. Others allow it. In many cities, you're allowed to break a car window to save a pet from dangerous heat. But not everywhere. Some towns support efforts to care for feral cats. Others require animal control to remove them for euthanasia. Laws are different. These differences show why understanding animal law is important if you want to stand up for animals where you live.
