Lewis A. Steverson joined Corning Incorporated as senior vice president and general counsel in June 2013.

Prior to joining Corning, Steverson served as senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Motorola Solutions, Inc. Previously, he was senior vice president of law for Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Solutions business. During his 18 years with Motorola, he held a variety of law leadership roles across the company’s numerous business units. Prior to Motorola, Steverson was in private practice at the law firm of Arnold & Porter.

Steverson is a member of the Illinois State Bar, the Colorado State Bar, the American Society of Corporate Secretaries, the Economic Club of Chicago, the Executive Club of Chicago, and the North Shore General Counsel’s Association. He also serves on boards for the Big Shoulders Fund and the Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Siena College and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
